Mulisha falls to O.C dodgeball in 1st round of playoffs... "No sting balls" sting mulisha... HARD

After an amazing 2-0 start to the Burt Reynolds Classic In Hollywood CA, the Mulisha went in to their third game with a playoff spot in hand. Without the big gun of "Latino Heat" the team looked to step it up this tournament with the co-ed addition of Kelsey Elcome. Rookies Kevin Cipriano and the man known only by A.R were brought in with no more than an hours notice to compensate the absence of Martinez and Keim. Both rooks played a decent tournament even with their lack of experience in a 6 on 6, 6 ball game. All day long "The Jet" came through huge with an average of 3 kills per game and often being last man standing. The third game of the tournament was just disgusting. The very light and soft "no sting balls" brought many hardships to the team all tourney long. Jordan AKA "The Ronin" was caught only twice all day long but both were from the "no sting balls." "The long break between games is what killed us the most, but those foam balls..." said team captain Christain Bernad. The team hoped to brush the game off and make a stand in the playoffs. Placed in the 5th seed of the playoffs, they faced the 4th seed O.C dodegball. O.C had also played a strong tourney and looked to make their presence felt.... and they did by winning game 1 of the series. The Mulisha gave it a go but failed to answer the call as game 2 came down to a 1 on 1 situation leaving it up to Mulisha tournament team MVP Jerry Byrne to give the team life as he dropped the game winning catch. "Those POS foam balls are a joke," Byrne said, "I dont know what (the F***) costanza is thinking putting those balls in the tournament, they are so pointless." Although the team lost they seemed to adapt very well to the 6 on 6, 6 ball game. They look to make a change in their habits in June by promising to do very well in the tournament in Orange County hosted by The O.C dodgball team.
